Bell Island Wallpaper by Jim Flora
AHJF102
A delightful neighborhood scene with a sweet hometown feel, this pattern was adapted from a 1968 tempera, "Bell Island at Night", in which Flora provided a surreal, idiosyncratic nocturnal impression of his neighbors and neighborhood. Bell Island, part of Rowayton (Norwalk) CT, is a quaint enclave on the Eastern seaboard where Flora lived with his family and worked for over 40 years. His art studio overlooked Long Island Sound, with its bobbing boats and scenic maritime features.
